Elizabeth Pétillot
Elizabeth Pétillot completed her DMA at UT Austin. A champion of new music, she has premiered art song, chamber music, and works for chamber choir by K.C. Ginther, Paul Crabtree, Russell Reed, and Rob Deemer. Elizabeth has recorded and performed under Helmuth Rilling, Richard Buckley, Paul Hillier, Dan Welcher, Peter Phillips, and Gerhardt Zimmermann. Other projects include recording 20th and 21st century Italian art song and writing on contemporary Italian composers and the techniques of their liriche da camera. Elizabeth is on the faculty at John A. Logan and Rend Lake Colleges in Southern Illinois, teaching voice, class piano, and music appreciation.
