Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Today’s standards for business casual dress are perfectly acceptable for our concerts, though depending upon the season and time of day, some choose to dress up a bit.  We also recommend that you please refrain from using strong fragrances as a consideration of those sitting around you.

When should I arrive?

We try our best to begin concerts on time. You might want to arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to the concert in order to pick up tickets, locate your seats, review the program notes and greet friends. To help reduce distracting noises during performances, there are designated pauses in each program during which late arrivals are seated. If you must leave a concert before its end, please do so between program works.

How long is a typical performance?

Program length varies, but a typical Conspirare concert lasts about one hour and forty-five minutes.  Presentations of lengthy works will usually include an intermission. You can always call (512) 476-5775 in advance for an estimated time.

May I bring my cell phone?

In respect to the performers and all patrons, persons with cell phones, alarm watches or electronic paging systems are requested to silence them or turn them off before entering the concert hall. Please contact the house manager before entering the auditorium if emergency notification might be required.

May I take photographs?

No still or video photography or sound recording is permitted. All equipment should be checked with the house manager prior to entering the concert hall. The exception is at Conspirare Youth Choir concerts when photography is allowed for a brief time only following the performance while the children are still onstage.

How accessible are your concerts?

We are happy to provide accessibility for patrons using a wheelchair, but we ask that you please notify us in advance at the time of your ticket purchase as special accommodations may be required.

May I bring my children?

Children eight years of age and older are welcome to Conspirare concerts which feature the adult ensembles. Children of all ages are welcome to attend Conspirare Youth Choirs concerts.
