Passionate and powerful young Austin slam poets Lacey Roop, Kevin Burke, and Danny Strack join Craig Hella Johnson and six Conspirare singers to improvise, riff, and interweave musical magic with the spoken word. An innovative evening of choral music re-defined.
Songs of the Soul

Conspirare and the Victoria Bach Festival string orchestra reprise Robert Kyr’s Songs of the Soul, commissioned by Conspirare and hailed by The Wall Street Journal as “a powerful new achievement in American music.” Also featuring the world premiere of a new Kyr work, The Cloud of Unknowing, commissioned by Conspirare and based on texts from an eponymous 14th-century spiritual guidebook.
Beethoven: Missa Solemnis

Craig Hella Johnson conducts Conspirare Symphonic Choir, Conspirare, Texas State University singers, and the Victoria Bach Festival Orchestra and Chorus in Beethoven’s monumental masterwork — the 20th season’s grand finale.
