Angela Young Smucker holds degrees from Valparaiso University and University of Minnesota, dedicating much of her career to Bach. She has appeared under Helmuth Rilling, Hermann Max, and Philip Brunell and with Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra, Chicago Chorale, Leipzig Baroque Orchestra, Bach Collegium San Diego, and Bach Institute at Valparaiso University. Angela has been a member of VocalEssence, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, VOX 3, and Festival Ensemble Stuttgart. Roles include Marcelina (Le nozze di Figaro), Queen of the Fairies (Iolanthe), Augusta (The Ballad of Baby Doe) and Zita (Gianni Schicchi). Angela is an adjunct instructor of music at Valparaiso University.
