Melanie Russell

Melanie Russell’s choral and chamber music career includes performances with Oregon Bach Festival Choir, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Etherea Vocal Ensemble, Yale Schola Cantorum, and Yale Voxtet. Solo engagements have taken her from her hometown of New Orleans (Die Fledermaus, The Buddy Holly Story, Mozart’s Requiem), to New York (Opera Omnia’s The Coronation of Poppea, Fauré’s Requiem at Carnegie Hall), to Moscow (roles in Mark Morris Dance Group’s Dido and Aenea), and to London (recitals of works by Handel and Mozart).
