Adept in genres from opera to jazz, Shelley Waite graduated from Eastman School of Music and has received awards from San Francisco Opera, Seattle Civic Opera, and Northwest Young Artist Series. She made her Carnegie Hall debut singing the alto solos in Messiah with Richard Westenburg and Musica Sacra. Other solo performances include concerts at Washington Cathedral and numerous appearances at John F. Kennedy Center with conductors Donald McCullough, Sir Neville Mariner, Richard Westenburg, Norman Scribner, Paul Hill, and J. Reilly Lewis. Shelly is featured on To Hope, A Celebration! (Dave Brubeck quartet on Telarc) and Russia (Paul Hill Chorale on Centaur).
