Michael Hawes

Based in Austin, TX, Michael lives with his wife and 2 year old son. He splits his time as a singer, trumpeter and pianist. Grammy nominated for his solo singing on Benedict Sheehan’s Liturgy, with the St. Tikhon Choir, Michael has performed recently with ensembles such as the Crossing Choir, Clarion Choir, the Detroit Symphony, National Symphony of Taiwan, amongst others. As a pianist, organist and music director in the church, Michael has led music programs at multiple Catholic parishes. Currently receiving his D.M.A. at UT Austin – when he is not working, you can find him swimming in Barton Springs Pool, or enjoying some delicious food around Austin with his wife Nini.
