Larry Speakman received a Bachelor of Music in voice and music education from Westminster Choir College and a Master of Music in choral and orchestral conducting from East Carolina University. In the Westminster Choir he sang under Leonard Bernstein, Robert Shaw, Zubin Mehta, and Seiji Ozawa, and for nine years he was a member and soloist with Philadelphia Singers. Larry performs with Vocal Arts Ensemble of Durham and North Carolina Symphony Baroque Choir and is a frequent guest conductor with Raleigh Symphony Orchestra. He is Artistic Director and Conductor of Concert Singers of Cary, NC, which he co-founded in 1991.
