Rebecca Frazier-Smith attended the University of Texas School of Music where she studied vocal performance with William Rhodes, Rose Taylor, Martha Deatherage, and Willa Mae Stewart-Setseck. A founding member of Conspirare, Rebecca performed on the Grammy-nominated recording Threshold of Night, as well as numerous other recordings with the group over its 20-year history. Rebecca has been a featured soloist with Texas Choral Consort, Choral Arts Society, Schola Cantorum, and Texas Early Music Project, among many other choral organizations and festivals. A longstanding love of ’30s and ’40s jazz melodies has recently led Rebecca to a performance and recording effort, during which she has had the honor to collaborate with some of Austin’s finest jazz musicians. Well-versed in many a creative medium, she is also a Master Florist with a specialty focus in event design, and owns her own studio, Bella Fiori.
