Ross developed a love for music at an early age. His passion and skills were nurtured through many years of church and school choirs, 10 years of private piano instruction, and solo vocal training. Engagement with choral singing has provided him opportunities to tour and/or compete with numerous groups in as many as 15 different states and 6 different countries. Within various ensembles, he has performed at TMEA (2014) and ACDA (2015, 2019), and is featured in 3 recorded albums. His experience ranges from Early/Renaissance Music performance, to Gospel, to Pop A Cappella. Ross holds degrees from Baylor University (BBA, 2015) and Truett Theological Seminary (MDiv, 2020) and lives in Austin, TX, where he serves as the Pastor of Music & Worship at First Baptist in the heart of downtown. He is currently rostered with 4 vocal ensembles in and around Austin as a hired singer and serves as a freelance vocalist for other local parishes when available.
As a longtime fan of Conspirare, Ross is thrilled at the opportunity to be performing alongside A Company of Voices. He believes deeply in the physiological and spiritual power of choral singing and its ability to foster human expression and connection. In a world that desperately needs more beauty and truth, Ross will continue trying to do his part through the gift of music.
