“The things I say daily in class about technique, breathing, support, phrasing, and musicianship are embodied in Conspirare’s amazing musicians and skilled conductor,” says Courtney Neva, choir director at Drippings Springs High School.
This spring Conspirare invited students to attend “Hope of Loving” with tickets provided by a generous donor. “Going to the Conspirare concert and listening to many voices sounding as one unified chorus really solidified my love for choral music,” says senior Preston Willis. “It wasn’t just multiple voices singing together, it was one cohesive, captivating sound.”

For Matea Hafner, a senior, meeting composer Jake Runestad was memorable. “It inspired me to work harder to be able to sing like that one day.” Students were asked to summarize the concert in three words which were: peace, tranquil, and blend.
The students expressed their gratitude by volunteering as Conspirare Ambassadors at a recent concert. “Being an ambassador was a really cool experience,” says Eliana Glenn, a junior. “I got to speak to a woman who had many experiences from high school into her adulthood with choir. She even met her husband through choir! She told me that even if I decide not to pursue music as a profession after high school, I should continue being involved in singing in choirs.”
