Pianist Carla McElhaney has been recognized by the Austin Critics’ Table, praised by the Austin-American Statesman as exhibiting “infectious enthusiasm,” and commended by the Austin Chronicle as delivering “an exciting mix of focus and passion.” She has appeared widely on series such as Albuquerque’s Chatter, Blanco Performing Arts, Ojai’s Krotona Institute, Costa Rica’s Credomatic Music Festival, and more. She produced over a hundred concerts as co-founder of the arts collective Revel, and her recording credits include collaborations with cellist Joel Becktell, saxophonist Todd Yukumoto, and composer Stephen Barber. McElhaney can be heard with Conspirare on their GRAMMY-nominated album The Hope of Loving.

McElhaney earned performance degrees from Eastman School of Music and The University of Texas at Austin. She previously taught at UT Austin and Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music. McElhaney currently teaches at Studio A and has a been a faculty member at Texas Lutheran University since 2009.
