Hidden Music 2026 Honoree: Marvin Brittman
This year Conspirare will honor Marvin Brittman at Hidden Music: Still We Sing.
Joyful connection with friends through the arts is at the center of Marvin Brittman’s life. This passion finds its fullest expression at Conspirare. Marvin first attended Conspirare Christmas in 2017 and immediately became a devoted listener and supporter.
Marvin is the friend you love to sit next to at concerts—his passion for music is contagious and extends to Conspirare’s diverse musical performances. When asked why Craig Hella Johnson and Conspirare matter, he’s quick to say:
Supporting Conspirare is deeply important to me because their ethereal music transcends the everyday and carries me to a place of reflection, beauty and connection each time I listen or attend a concert. At a moment when federal support for the arts is waning, helping sustain Conspirare ensures that this rare, transformative musical experience will continue to inspire and uplift generations to come.

Marvin Brittman, Holly Ann Berent, and Craig Hella Johnson celebrate Conspirare’s 2026 GRAMMY nomination in Los Angeles.
Marvin exemplifies what it means to lead by example. He has extended Conspirare’s reach into the community through his thoughtful invitations and introductions, is always among the first to offer his support for initiatives including Considering Matthew Shepard and Hidden Music, and has devoted his time and expertise to our long term sustainability as a board member and Co-Chair of the Resource Development Committee.
Marvin is one of Austin’s most powerful and modest influencers. He is a singular weaver of people in Austin and beyond, threaded by his passion for creative expression and bringing new friends together. In addition to his steadfast investment in Conspirare, Marvin also supports Austin Symphony Orchestra, Austin Opera, Austin Classical Guitar, American Artists Project, Austin Chamber Music Center, Austin Soundwaves, Armstrong Community Music School, Red Nightfall Dance Theatre, Laboratorio, Jewish Foundation of Austin and Central Texas, Texas Performing Arts, The University of Texas College of Fine Arts Advisory Board, Circle of Friends Alzheimer’s Respite, as well as a number of individual artists. He is also a super fan of his daughter Rochelle’s bands, most notably fUNNER and Black Days.
Through his presence and generosity at these organizations, Marvin brings together communities of fellow arts lovers to deepen our experience and create a thriving community right here in Austin.
We are profoundly grateful for Marvin’s commitment to Conspirare and truly inspired to be among the many beneficiaries of his generous spirit.
